While talking about stained glass.....

    say_it_slowly The worst prison is a closed heart

    I picked this up and it's in sad shape. I thought I might sandwich it between clear glass as is rather than try to repair it.

    It got me wondering if there is any way to estimate a date on such a piece. It has painted elements but that's about it. I didn't measure but it's about 2' wide.

    It is universally recognised in the antiques trade that if you don't know when old stuff was made,you date it to 1890.

    I reckon it was made about 1890.

    And sort of unmade bit by bit since then

    LOL it's surely 1890's, of course!:D Actually I just couldn't pass it at $2 but really don't need any more projects.
