Pottery found in old home

    My mom found this in an old home when she moved in. House was built around 1919.
    The handle has some shine to it but rest of it seems to be peeling. Not sure if someone painted over a glossy jug?? Thoughts ? 7548C5E4-662C-48EB-A335-F7027D9338B0.jpeg

    It does look like someone painted over the original finish, trying to pretty it up ;)
