Featured Porcelain footed dish - japan?

    Not sure about the mark on this one. The style seems Imari more than anything that I can think of. Did this come out of Japan?

    It looks Japanese to me. Maybe 1980's give or take a decade. Something about the Western style decoration. Often there was a foil label that fell off or was removed somewhere along the way. I don't know if there's a way to tell for sure though.

    Puzzler. Not a Chinese nor Japanese mark, but looks “made up.” Quite a bit of hand painting on it, too...

    Yeah the mark is throwing me too - looks vaguely - very vaguely like some of the "fuku" marks.

    Yes, it is a square "Fuku" mark, a kaku-fuku mark. I think this is older, Meiji period, and a very nice piece. In the decoration I see eventually some Koransha influence.
