Hi again! Thanks for all the help and replies on my locket post! So I have a dilemma; I need a new gem tester. I previously had a presidium handheld\portable gem tester, and the tip on it literally fell apart and was not repairable. Obviously I don’t want one of those again, but I am not against Presidium as a whole. Does anyone have a recommendation for a low end but reliable gem tester? I’m not planning on selling jewelry forever so I don’t want to invest a lot of money in one.

I’ve got the presidium handheld pig (autocorrect changed that from PGI and I am not disagreeing with it).
The software is seriously flawed. You will occasionally see her on here described as Mary Contrary as she is highly temperamental and unreliable. Except for diamonds. She loves diamonds.
I would buy a presidium again but the one with the analogue display.

Haha, I did see someone post about Mary Contrary! I was wondering... But mine tended to read sapphire rather than diamond. I am sure i put small diamonds in the gem pile before I realized. My $10 diamond tester hasn’t failed me yet. :)
