Awkward Scissors? Any ideas?

Good morning. Here are some photos of what looks to be some type of scissor. Any help in figuring what these are would be greatly appreciated.

 

Candle wick snuffer/trimmer.

That's what I thought but it's not very long nor curved like the majority of the ones I've seen.

Without some indicator of size in your OP or in the picture, it's difficult to know "how long." The shape and arrangement of parts is correct for a candle wick snuffer/trimmer, but how short is it? (btw, I don't think I've seen one of these that was "curved." )

 

This one is quite usual for a candle wick snuffer/trimmer, sometimes they are a bit longer, but not much.
If I remember correctly, there are long slender ones just for snuffing, they don't cut, so they don't trim.

 

What.....like these ???

 

maybe you need to add the word scissors...
