Not coming up with any matches when I google this one. The mold mark on the bottom is 232. H21521-L229606762.jpg H21521-L229606761.jpg H21521-L229606763.jpg H21521-L229606779.jpg H21521-L229606764.jpg H21521-L229606768.jpg

well I guess it is Sitzendorf after all, this figure looks quite the same and has the same mold mark:

I think what threw me is that the cross line is near perpendicular to the parallel lines and I thought it was supposed to be at an angle. Hmmm..

This brings up an interesting question. THe two pieces arent the same, the hand position on the face is different and mine shows a basket under the arm. However the mold number is the same. WOuld they have retooled the same mold to accommodate a basket? so they just leave the mold number in there. Or make a new mold and give it the same number so to keep track of similar items?

sunday, the WP ad states that there has been restoration under one arm and that something seems to be missing, likely the basket of flowers. And it's really hard to tell from the angle of the WP photo whether the hand near the face is really different. So it could be the same mould.

Now that you mention it, Aqui, the hand looks a little mannequin-ish to me. Still, the OP's appears to be more valuable that the one on WP. At least it has a realistic looking hand which is clutching the basket, not just fingers straight out like in your photo.

I think what Aqi is saying is that new arm that you see is completely new, made out of material different from the original. And what Ola is saying is that both of these were originally from the very same mold, its just that the WP one now has a different arm and looks somewhat different..

It looks way different, LOL! IMO, the restoration that was done on the WP figurine was done poorly. The hand looks comical. So whatever that one sold for, yours should be worth more for being intact.

    Your summation above is accurate.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The arm on the one on Worthpoint is hanging very awkwardly, too. I enjoy threads like this, as they help in discussing details.
