I hear you about the hands (and the eyes, in my case). But the holes on these aren't miniscule; they shouldn't be too difficult to thread. If you can't thread it just using your hands, there are needles, some larger than your average sewing needle, that would make it easier to manipulate.

 

Thanks so much for your thoughts. I'm afraid the nearby bead shop went under because I can't find them on the internet. But in a city of half a million people, there has to be one somewhere.

Any old Michael's or Hobby Lobby or Joann will have the stuff, and you can find instructions on Youtube. As teachers go, I stink because I'm self-taught for the most part. Worse, I don't always know the technical terms for what I'm doing; I just do it.
