Parker Knoll armchair

    Hi all! New poster, just wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this lovely chair? It's all original upholstery and components, wondering about year, value etc.

    My parents bought 2 just like that in the late 1950s. I expect yours is from about the same period. I don'i think it has any value apart from its utility as a chair.

    I get a few of these in house clearances, the words Parker Knoll means quality and they do sell, were as other types usually go to the tip.

    The only problems are if they have the original upholstery and components then they are not fire and smoke safety tested up to the modern standards and would be illegal to sell in the UK in their present condition.

    They must have fitted label attached stating they comply with present fire safety regulations.

    I don`t know if you have the same levels of fire regulations in Australia.
