    Hi there!

I purchased this fur coat recently and I’m curious to know what type of fur it may be. The girl wrote that it was from the 60s and real fur. The brand is Dworkin’s in Ottowa, Canada. My guess was mink, fox or coyote? But maybe something else. Thanks in advance! (I have added more photos of the coat in the comments)

Oh wow, you think so? Would that make it more valuable? Either way, it’s so pretty

I do not think they have a big value anymore due to PETA. my mother had a similar one that was valued by her insurance - all criminal rip-offs anyway - the equivalent of 4000 $; I sold it on a Swiss platform for 700 $ after her passing away. ten years ago that is.

I just read that Denmark are culling 17 million farmed Mink due to them carrying mutated strain of Covid that can be passed to humans.

Lack of caffeine... I quickly read "more photos of the cat":hilarious::cat:

Mink for me, a quality one with the skins being " allongées" (Google in French for vison allongé).

but that's in one single district, so no danger for the whole country.

Yeah but if PETA or ALF activists release them, those furry little blighters can cover a lot of distances in a short time.

Here you have to take Otters over 80km away so they don't come back.

I think the coat's date has been misrepresented. The styling is 1980s, not 1960s.

Gorgeous coat . Things being the way they are,itd probably end up being made into pillows or something. I once worked at a private club, and one night I was working the coat check room . This was 1990 or so. I remember all the ladies coming in wearing glamorous furs ,and as they checked them I would bury my face into them (out of sight of course) and just smell and feel them . So tactile,so luxurious.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

WELL, WHATEVER IT IS, it sure is GORGEOUS!!!!!!!! I'll say some strain of mink....but, I'd shorten it several inches.........personally! Did anyone suggest Silver Fox?? Which MAY be way off base...........
