What style is this gilt mirror?

It seems to be a reproduction from the 1990s and made of resin or something similar from the Carolina Mirror Corporation. I picked it up for $65 in a small town in Mississippi. However, I can't place the style. I started thinking Louis IV, Regency, Empire, Louis XIV, Italianate, or just some weird modern attempt at reproducing a traditional style. Any ideas?

I'd call it Renaissance Revival but one of the forum's furniture experts may know better.

I think a French renaissance style as well.

    How about Neo-Renaissance?

Carolina Mirror actually had a line they called their Renaissance Collection. I wouldn't be surprised if this was part of that collection.

Thank you for the replies. You've been very helpful. So, the consensus is, some kind of Renaissance or Renaissance Revival style. I wish I could find traces of similar Carolina Mirrors full of exploding French extravagance, where there is more frame than actual mirror.
