Now that I've hung around here for a while, I've become very careful before I buy something. I had been pawing up this brooch for 10 minutes or so and had rejected it as not being interesting. It just so happened that a friendly dealer came by and I asked him if he thought it was a reproduction. He said no that it was a Czech brooch from the 40's. He didn't want it because he already had several. So I bought it, so I could ask you all what you think. It is 3 inches long and 1 1/2" wide. Any thoughts appreciated. It's a goodie, but some of the pearls have lost their coating. If you bought it for you to wear and it doesn't bother you, then you're OK. Unless you point that out to someone, I bet they wouldn't notice :)

I noticed that all the small ones were missing the finish. Maybe @kyratango could suggest a coating that looks like pearls. I don't generally sell anything except occasionally household goods on Facebook or Craig's list to keep from getting overwhelmed with stuff.

Good advice. If you can't make it work no-one can. Thank you.

Much as I admire Kyras talents with restoration I would take the short cut and replace them with new ones.
It’s so pretty it deserves them!.
