Dying upholstery ?

    Anyone ever try this ? I have a chair with decent condition, pattern is appropriate, but the colors are dated & just wrong - yellows, white, light brown, a 50's - 60's look. Overall color values are light, so thought dying might work.

    I've heard of it being painted too, but that sounds iffy.
