Im not sure but I'm believing it's a vase used for placing near a grave for a loved one. The roses, looks like there are 3 of them, joined together. This, to me, would signify the Trinity, The Father The Son and The Holy Ghost. That's my take.

I can't see the mark very well - are you sure it says "DEAD"?

(I truly doubt it has anything to do with grave flowers or the trinity.)

I'm just going based off of what was written about it saying "Dead". I can see the word "Dead" on it. It's just my speculation, I may be totally wrong.

I was just trying to give some "ideas" since you never got any replies before. Hopefully you find out what this vase really is. Good luck.

Mymysharona43, in the second photo it looks like there may be some raised letters or numbers on the bottom of the vase toward the top of the photo. Are there raised letters/numbers on the bottom? The first "letter" looks like it "might" be a "D" -- but that is just a guess.

Mymysharonna, I'm sorry I posted earlier about raised letters on the bottom of the vase.

I saw your use of the word "DEAD" in your title and when you called it a "dead vase," but I thought you might have been referring to a funeral/funereal vase/urn or an "ashes/remains" vase/urn. I didn't realize that the word "DEAD" in the title was the "word" in raised letters on the back of the vase.

Sorry if I jiggered up your thread with my first post (and now this one). :(
