Featured When did Germany stop using "FOREIGN" sticker on things?

Picked up these lamp work glass snakes yesterday. They are usually attributed to
either Bimini of Austria or Lauscha of Germany and given a "Made in Germany" sticker
on one this lot are likely all Lauscha. One of the bigger ones has a "Foreign" sticker on it and I'm trying to work out what the latest date for them would be. Heck they are
light!! The small ones (14cm high) are around 9-10 grams and the larger ones (22cm high) weigh 24-35 grams. A lot of sellers advertise these as 1930-40s but I'm inclined to think somewhere around the fifties depending on the "Foreign" sticker. Could be
wrong. Can someone set me straight?

Might have to do with your import laws.
Here in the US the McKinley Act was enacted in 1891 requiring country of origin. Many items from Japan were just marked Foreign. I never saw any German items marked that way.
"Made in" had to be added to country of origin in I believe it was 1921. (I'm not positive on 1921 as the year, that needs to be checked.)

    BTW
Those are absolutely stunning! ! !

It had something to do with WWI, but I don't know when they stopped. After WWII maybe?

Thanks everyone. Is there a name for this particular type of glass apart from lamp work? I seem to recall something like "coil work" but I'm not sure and it is not in the millefiori category. There is some strange prices around for these items. First dibs seems to think four of them are worth US$1200 plus and most of the ebid sold sales seem to be around US$40-50 for single items. Don't seem to be too many for sale anywhere at the moment. Not sure if I should flog them as a group of four, two pairs of some combination or singles. Early days.
    Cheers
