Jug is what came up doing google image search on this. This was in my mother's cabinet amongst some other old things. It's about 6 1/2" high and 8" across at the handles. I suspect this is earthenware but I could be wrong. It looks like "503" was written inside the circle on the bottom. In another place there is a {15} followed by something illegible. But I have no idea who wrote on there and when. It appears to be in pen or pencil. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
