Jug?

    Jug is what came up doing google image search on this. This was in my mother's cabinet amongst some other old things. It's about 6 1/2" high and 8" across at the handles.
    I suspect this is earthenware but I could be wrong. It looks like "503" was written inside the circle on the bottom. In another place there is a {15} followed by something illegible.     Red Wing urn. Brushed Ware line 1920's - 1930's. Shown in Dollen's Red Wing Art Pottery book on pg. 21.
