Japanese Pottery What Am I Bowl

    Hi,
    Pottery bowl, not heavy but feels like terra cotta, marked 'Made In Japan', 2"H x 5 1/2" diameter, 3 holes along the lower edge. What would this have been used for? I thought maybe incense but not sure.
    any information appreciated

    Yes, with the tripod legs and the hole in the base this would be an incense burner.

    Try Tokanabe ware as a search term if you haven't already:)
