I never seen a rug with edges like this before, this is a small runner about 5 feet long.
Anybody know about how old it is or where it was made ?

    Thank You 071.JPG 073.JPG 074.JPG 075.JPG 076.JPG

Probably Mexican, but could be from India. Or by anyone who has access to a loom and yarn. Maybe even a student piece (there are such things as weaving classes).

Definitely not Navajo or Native American, since it was woven with fringe on both ends, a sign it wasn't made on a Navajo loom. The heavy side cording is also a sign it is possibly Mexican. Navajo weaving is never made like that.

Okay Thanks Taupou, I had a feeling it wasn't Navajo or Native Indian. The pattern looks kind of like Mexican style, I was wondering about when it was made also, has some wear.
