Featured Player Piano Type Rolls?? What are they?

I scooped a box of these rolls at an auction thinking they were player piano rolls. I had not checked them out prior to the auction. Turns out I do not believe they are player piano rolls. They all have stories on them, 1 even has arithmetic. I have tried to research them to no avail. Any help pointing me in the right direction on these things??

 

Very strange, but I suspect something used in schools.

Nothing anywhere indicating manufacturer?

With no more information I’d guess what’s obvious.
Some classroom teaching system.
There was probably a gizmo that they were drawn through and sliding panels to alternately hide and reveal the process.

 

I was writing when Bakers’ was.

 

We had rolls of film that were drawn by hand crank, by the teacher, and projected on the wall even as late as 1969.
Teacher and students would read the captions.

 

I think they are very COOL!

I have a number of those classroom maps that work like roll away window shades.
