2 Studio Pottery Pieces

1. Jar with bowtie design stopper. Measures 15" tall and is 5" wide, signed on the base PC 03. Does anyone know who this potter is?

2. Noah's Ark, done in terra cotta? Has a blue/green glazed interior. measures 12 3/4" long, 6 1/2" wide and is 9" tall. Signed on the base Paschell. I have found a couple of other pieces sold online, but I cannot find any information about the potter themselves. Any info would be great.

 

I think the ark might be Alan Paschell. LOVE the 1st one,though I have no idea who made it.

 

I believe you are thinking of Alan Paschall. The signature on the ark ends in ell not all.

 

There's a closed ebay listing for a monkey soap dish with the same "Paschell" signature, but no info on the potter, at http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Mon...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

 

I found an Alan Paschell associated with the Frog Hollow cooperative in Vermont, who makes "figurative clay sculpture:"

The firs one might be Philip Chan, he had a chop type "PC" mark, usually on the side of a piece but he also signed by hand on the bottom. He does Raku with the same type crackle horsehair glaze.
