Since labor was transitory, the same mark could be adopted by different people as time passed...the manager at the time keeping track of which person the stamp indicated for the moment.

I was curious and decided to look for more information. How much I searched, how curious I became. Because while there is no information about the use of an asterix on Wedgwood, I did find some porcelain from 1860 to 1920 with this symbol. I thought if this symbol has been used at wedgwood for a long time, why can't we find any information about it?
