Hi there, and Happy Monday! Does anyone know anything about this particular manufacturing company? I'm looking for any information on this piece of furniture and the company, potential age, etc. Any insights are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    John

I can take additional photos of the label, and try to get a better shot. I'm not sure what alphabet that is, but a friend of mine also stated "Cyrillic". I have yet to find anything online which looks similar, or offers any additional insights.

In the meantime, this just enhances & enlarges what's there:

It's a walnut and marble washstand. Matt is right on about the date: ca. 1880s-90s. I've never seen one made in Russia, but I've seen many dozens of them made for export in England. I've got one that was reportedly made in Bournemouth ca. 1890. It's rare to have the actual manufacturer, but on the other hand it doesn't really matter as far as value goes.

There are many variables in construction, i.e. tiles instead of marble, a drawer underneath, a pediment on top of the backsplash, etc. etc. etc. The bottom line is that many washstands of this type were made. In my part of the U.S. prices can vary from $200-$500 at auction, depending on appearance and condition.

Thank you all. I tried to take better photos, but none were any better than the enhanced photo (thank you Aquitaine).
