@komokwa and @Marie Forjan i have no needles hot or otherwise planned for my future. I trust Komo’s assessment and will just repair it. Thank you both.

Found in my own stash - 10k framed modern cameo. Not the greatest, but IIRC I'm into it for under $10. DSCF5027.JPG

I went out on a treasure hunt today, I found an old'ish possibly early 21st century oil lamp or heater. Good for taking on camping trips or for use as an emergency heater if the central heating ever goes out during winter.

I paid 5 pounds for it and I could flip this for a profit anytime. I could also convert it to a regular plug in the wall bedside lamp with a brass bulb holder and some antique style braided 3 core mains flex, this is metal and I always like to earth anything metal and as a converted lamp it will sell very well but for now I will leave it as it is.

Wowzer on your finds, guys. I missed you all, I have been so busy at work. I went to a local bi-annual flea market a few weeks ago. I got up too early, it was dark outside, couldn't even see (I will remember a flashlight next time.) No early jewelry, but I stuck around from 6:30 am to 9:00 am, and people set up gradually. One person resells jewelry for decent prices, she was MOBBED and people were grabbing her sterling left and right. I got a few things from her, but I passed on a pair of sterling scarab earrings with hieroglyphics? on the back, they looked old and converted to pierced. I wasn't willing to spend $12 (foolish in retrospect.)

While she was busy being mobbed, I turned around and an older couple had just set up. All the jewelry was $1 to $2. This is what I found:

    Germania Sterling.jpg
The turquoise necklace is signed sterling Betty Thomas. I did get the Coro sterling vermeil brooch from mobbed lady for $10. Everything else was a dollar, except the sapphire? sterling bracelet, got that from another lady for 50 cents. I also got a pair of 14k jade earrings for $2 from her, I forgot to photograph them.

So I left and hubby and I took a drive, but the sterling scarab earrings were bugging me. I went back, and of course, they were sold. But the couple I got most of the $1 sterling from had a box in the back of there display. I asked to look at it (I also got a ton of nice costume jewelry from them when I bought the sterling). Here's what was in the box:

    14k Grandchildren Necklace.jpg
It was a 14k 23 1/2" gold necklace with crystal gold charms on it. It was a 26" necklace and the piece of gold that was removed was in the box. I almost fell over when I asked what the price was and she said $1. She said she kept "finding things" and put them out when she found them. Wonder what I missed. I thought the stones were cyrstal, Swarovski, but I checked them with the presidium and they test from quartz to spinel. I haven't seen any on the internet like them- the heart-shaped and rounds.

And here is some other stuff. I went to a community yard sale and almost fell over when they told me this brand new Kitchen Aid mix master was $20. I bought mine, exactly like it, at K Mart 25 years ago for $185. I will sell it on a local site closer to Christmas. Kitchen Aid Mix Master.jpg
The lady said she liked her hand mixer better.
Then the Kit Kitteridge American Girl Doll was $5 at a yard sale down the street.

I didn't know American Girl dolls were marked Pleasant Company on their backs. I missed one for A DOLLAR a few weeks ago because of that.

Just something I found for $1, evelyb will know what this is. I love it.

Not a bargain, but I loved it, rainbow moonstone in sterling.

A few more....the red white and blue jewelry was 50 cents for all.
    Red White Blue.jpg
I looked up this Ideal Doll circa 1950-1951 in my Ideal book, but I forget her name. She is in really good shape, just needs cleaning and hair fixed. $5. Ideal Doll 1951.jpg
And I had to go grocery shopping, and stopped in this thrift shop today. Everything is always overpriced- they had a newer Monet rhinestone brooch, stone not pronged in, priced at $25. This brooch was $6. D & E Juliana, the head and side green marquise stones glow under black light. I love the foil stones and blues and greens in this. Juliana D & E butterfly.jpg

Sorry, ONE more thing and ONE more story. There was a lady set up where I got the 14k necklace, and every single thing was overpriced. AND she told me and everybody else what it sells for on ebay because she looked up every single item. She had a glass ballerina I liked, but she wouldn't sell it without a male figure that didn't go with it, so I passed on it. She swore it was a set because her mother displayed it as such. The markings on the figures were totally different, but I wasn't going to argue.

I went back to the flea market the second day, at the end, and she was packing up. She wanted $5 for this perfume, and was all miserable because people sprayed it to sell it. She kept telling me how the perfume sells on ebay for $40. Since I liked the scent, I bought it. HO HO HO. It is an American Eagle Outfitters fragrance that is discontinued and sells for $100 NIB. My finds don't have to be particularly old for me to make money.
