I found this today, it was in with a bunch of postcards, decided to buy it when I read the back print

    Vs019
    Printed ink reads:
    MINISTRY OF INFORMATION
    BRITISH ? OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPH
    CROWN COPYRIGHT RESERVED
    THIS PHOTOGRAPH MUST NOT -

That's all I can make out

Wondered if it was of any particular interest

It is, Montgomery (Monty) is in it. He was Field Marshall Montgomery during WW II.

Someone else will recognize some of the others.

I don`t think it is Monty, too young, no medal ribbons.
I think this was taken after WWII

The officer leaning over did it...put that in my head immediately after I had guessed that was Monty over there. :)

The man with the walking stick could be Baldwin, prime minister until 1937. I don't know if that fits with the uniforms etc.

Thanks for the info, are these official ministry photographs quite a common thing ?

The Marshall House The home of General George C. Marshall

Could the man left of the man in the black jacket be Brigadier Allan Adair, Field Marshal Sir John Dill, or Hugh Dowding?

Dowding looks possible. Might be worth sending this to the IWM. The other thought is General Browning.

Thanks for the advice and info, I think I'll send them an email, as its prob better as historical relevance, than for flogging !!
