I think people used to wear them or have coins on there keys, some coins have been made into broaches. Its not uncommon to find coins with holes in them.

It was someone's lucky piece on their watch fob. Had to drill it. At the time it was probably a new coin.

Its doesn't say anything on the edge, I only paid a few quid for the coin I suspect it maybe an old re-strike, what would be the diameter measurements of this coin?

Its trying to be an 1847 Gothic Crown, they are extremely rare.
If it has no edge lettering then it is fake, a copy.

    #1 Undecimo would be £6500
    #2 Septimo, priceless.

    28.27 grams 92.5% silver.

Buy a rare earth magnet and watch a youtube video on how to test silver coins.

Thanks for the info, I had my doubts when I bought the coin and 3 pounds is nothing so I'd probably faint if it was the real deal. It makes a nice gap filler in my collection.

Found this lying on the sidewalk. The bale was crushed and one of the plastic stones was split. But it is marked Sterling.

I just guessed they were plastic. I was walking to a grocery store and there it was. If you think it's real, then I can get it repaired.

Thank you so much. I'll do that. I have to repair one of the turquoise stones as it was stepped on and it's split apart. Maybe @kyratango can make a suggestion on how to do it.

I started to look The first character seems to be a horse and the largest character appears to be interlinked letters or characters. At least that is what I see so far.

They had a $4.99 goodwill tag over original JI Co (just found out what the stickers said). Don't remember when or where I got them. I also unwrapped this murano piece which had a goodwill sticker for $19.99.

To check if the stones are plastic, get a pin and heat it and it should go right into the stone.

NO - not the hot pin test!!!! Especially since you can only test the fronts and if they are plastic you will have a hole in one of them!

Use the tooth tap test, a gem tester, have a jeweler look at them, don't do the hot pin test
