coin?

    Assuming the script is Arabic, it is upside down.;)
    @daveydempsey will probably recognize the coins.

    Possibly a rupee from one of the Indian Native States (That's actual India, not Red Indian), probably silver.
    There are a very large number of states and varieties.
    I suggest you post this on Cointalk, a sister forum to this one. Someone may be able to spot it immediately.

    In that case the writing is probably Urdu, which uses modified Arabic script.

    I will stick with what I said, its an Indian Princely States either Ruppee or Anna.
    I`ve had dozens of them over the years, thick and chunky.
    I`m sure AF has had as many.
    I`ve also had many Temple Tokens which are usually thin, base metal and crudely struck.
    I have all the Krause catalogs going back 4 centuries and it would take days to work out which one it is, as Indian coins are the largest section in each catalog.
