Featured wooden carved figures

    I have shown them to someone who specialises in African tribal art and he says they are not African, and suggested they may be of Asian origin but could not tell me for sure without spending a while researching them.
    They are both heavy, look very old, one is app. 30” and the other 28”, hopefully I can upload the photos.
    Hopefully someone on this forum can help me, thanks

    Thank you, had a look at Indonesian tribal art and the closest I’ve seen to some of the features of mine are Hampatong which I’d never heard of.

    Hampatong are guardian figures of certain Dayak tribes on the island of Kalimantan, Indonesia.
    Yours are Hampatong style, made for the tourist trade.
