    $109 in US coins.

Each pile is a Dollar, no silver.

When I was in NC I collected many quarters the ones with the picture of each state on the back I have them all including doubles.

I can't remember the exact date but on the quarter coins if they were made before a specific date then they would be silver.

I also brought back many dollar coins and half dollars, I'll have to get them all out sometime and have a look at them.

I went to the Saturday market today, I didn't spend much time there as I saw exactly what I was going to buy. I spent a total of five pounds.

I found this 1911 tea mug. I really like these and I have a small collection of them now. I sometimes find these in old tips I dig but they are almost always broken so its nice to find them in car boot sales.

I also found what looks like an old Victorian jug, perfect for watering my plants and looks nice over anything modern.

I also got this thing today, I have no idea what this thing is or what its used for but it looks interesting with some age to it early 20th century.

    They are called State quarters.

Pre 1964 were 90% silver as were Halves and Dimes.

    I have thousands of coins.
I've acquired two more cabinets since this pic was taken.

You are going to have to look into reinforcing your floors by the time you are done doing house clearances just from the sheer weight of the coins you have acquired. ;) :playful::playful::playful::playful: :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

I don't get many coins from clearances that I can collect, I've had a few gold and silver that I save, the rest is mainly pocket change from whichever country.

This last batch of US will go to my two cousins when they next come over.

Last time they only got around $20

The last batch of US notes I got went to my mechanic as payment, he flew to Florida a week later.

I don't think anyone will be doing either journey anytime soon.:hilarious:

Finally uploaded the image of Thursday's stuff. The blue festoon isn't old, just pretty. Bought it for the magnetic clasp as much as anything else. The blue beads are Italian and the coffee container is a bank. I have the Bokar one here somewhere. The deer antler metal and glass piece is signed EE or MW or something similar. No idea who that is - too new.(LOL)

Just found these Czech dress clips under a pile of other stuff, probably from garage sale somewhere. Few stones missing.

In my neck of the woods you see those coffee tin banks fairly often. I have three of them that are fairly similar but different advertising, including the one pictured and the Bokar one. I'd grab some pics if I knew where they are hiding in the hoard!

Haiti is a good possibility too; they do a lot of wood carving and dolphins are popular.

Wow, that cleaned up nicely!! What did you use to clean and polish?

Thanks! I used some diluted murphys oil soap to get the dirt/crud off...then it seemed like it might have a thin coat of polyurethane or shellac on it, so I used a tiny bit of clear briwax to polish him up a tad.
