    Hey all

This bronze clock measures 18" wide by 24" tall and weighs in at a whopping 35 pounds. It features lion's paw feet, urns, dolphins, a balustrade, and is crowned with Father Time as an angel holding a scythe. I believe it is from France ca. 1860 or so.

The movement features the number 1633 and is inscribed "G. Phillipe/Palais Royal." I apologize for the fact that it's washed out in the photo.

I can find one other similar clock, although it's got lots of Bouille work and is fancier than mine:

I don't expect an exact value, but I wonder if the insurance replacement value would be too high at $4K?

    Thanks everyone!!

It has an adjustable Brocot suspension so I suspect it may be a decade or so later than you think. The bell nut is on backwards. Narrow end goes inwards.
Assuming it is gilt bronze rather than spelter, I still thin the insurance value is a bit high but I have no idea about the clock market wherever you are.

Great, this is the kind of information I was looking for. Definitely bronze. So....1870?

I'm in the midwestern U.S. Perhaps a $3K insurance replacement value?
