Featured tiny aceo (ish) watercolour

    hi folks, something i picked up yesterday for £3

    painting measures 2 1/2 inches by 4 inches ( 1/2 inch away from being proper aceo (snip snip, wink wink:))

    its very unfair zooming in on her at that size, but take that into account

    not sure ive got any questions, but would appreciate any observations which always help

    everything underneath has been glued, so no info

    frame makes me think edwardian ?

    any thoughts appreciated

    yeah have done, its all been glued together in a sandwich unfortunately, shame

    It's a nice little piece, chesaroo. Someone had a good handle on the medium. No mud. Good buy.

    Certainly British with that bridge (love those), but it could also be the Lake District, or Wales.

    Wales, check out David Cox, washline mount so a treasured little sketch. You won't be able to make any attribution stick, but fun to do anyway. Nice piece.

    your only blooming right as well inh, the eyes on you :)

    its tiny and in pencil like the outlines, will try and get a pic

    its about as clear as most artists signatures though

    not sure if its a signature or not, so so tiny

    if i had to make a guess i think its says john brassey, anyone heard of him:)

    hi inh, yeah still to hard to make out even with a loupe

    still helpful though if i find another like watercolour, where the signature looks the same
