Sterling Serving Piece Fish?

    Hi,
    Trying to figure out what this is used for. 1802 London Peter and Ann Bateman 9" long. With the holes for draining in it I thought something that will have liquid or juices in it, so maybe fish or vegetables? There is a bit of a curve in the top/blade part. Looks like marks on the handle, hopefully they will show up better with a cleaning.
    Any information appreciated

    You've got the right idea, it is for fish. I believe it is called a fish slide.
