Bud vases, help with marks please

These are 8 and a half inches high. I think the numbers are 900 but I don't know if the mark next to it is a maker or country of manufacture mark. I'm in uk so they may be european. Thank you.~

Relatively modern style, but I don't see anything about the marks that point to a specific country. The 900 fineness might suggest South American - but which country, couldn't say.

The letter marks sure could be clearer!

Thanks for your input Bakersgma. I've seen a few of these that were similar in shape at the car boots etc but they have always been plated.

 

DA, I'd say. Might be David Andersen if you've been really lucky.

 

But it wouldn't be only 900 silver, plus the letters don't look like any David-Andersen mark I can find online. Wish it were so, but I'm highly doubtful.

 

Well, I've just had a lovely time looking at his work, I shall be on the lookout now, not someone I was previously aware of.
I'm seeing he was using 830 and 925 silver but no 900. I don't think the vases are stylish enough for him plus the clumsy marks make me think I'm not that lucky today. Thanks.

 

Mm, good point. The shape screams early 1970s.
