Antique Japanese Plates

These plates were my great grandmother’s. I’ve spent hours trying to figure out the markings on the back? Does anyone have any insight on how old they might be and their origin? Thank you!

Made in Japan is not usually seen before 1941

That says this:
Between 1890 and 1914, Japanese pottery made expressly for export to America was marked Nippon (the word for Japan in Japanese). Then beginning in 1915, most Japanese export pottery was labeled Made in Nippon. Next, conforming to the English language requirement, beginning in 1921 the pottery (and glass and metal) then said Made in Japan. That held until WWII when virtually all exporting/importing of non-essentials ended. When exporting resumed at the end of the 1940s, goods from Japan often said (with some implied anger) Made in Occupied Japan. Finally, after about 1952, only the word Japan began appearing on the imports.

Yes that's right. My apologies for misreading the piece I was quoting from. So your plates date c1921- start of the war.
