Featured TODAY'S THRIFT STORE FIND - 55" VENETION MIRROR; REAL? AGE? ANY INFO?

I found this at a local thrift store/2nd hand furniture store today. When I asked the owner how much, he said/asked $100? I offered $60 and he said why don't we split it at $80?
But I knew the way he said $100 as more of a question that I had wiggle room - so I told him let's just wait and see if it sells because I may gave to hold on to it for a while before it sold + if I should accidently break a piece I'd just thrown away $60 - and he immediately said I could have it for the $60!
Now I need to learn about it - is this real (do they make knock offs?)? How old is it? I think they are from Italy; is that right?
Any help would be greatly appreciated; I'm not a big furniture guy & know nothing about this except it's pretty and it's heavy!
Also it's measurements are 55" x 28"

Easy to sell, doesn't matter if older or not, they sell anyway, some are Chinese, again not a concern, very saleable. This one is probably not super old, late 20th early 21st but nobody cares, it's the look they are after.

What makes you say that? I'm asking because I don't want to over sell it when I list on ebay - I have almost 1,900 sales with a 100% positive feedback; because I try to be honest about any issues something may have. And listing this as "Rare, Beautiful Vintage/Antique Venetian Mirror" may upset someone who buys it and says that it's not! - How do you tell?

Great buy no matter what the age.

 

The back looks 50s or 60s onwards. Doesn't matter, it will sell very well. The newer ones have ply or even plastic backs.

India is also a source - a few years ago my neighbor put one out at the curb, very similar to this one, but about half the size, it had a 'Made in India' label as well as a Marshall's price tag...
