I bought this today at swap meet where I sell sometimes. An older Hispanic man was selling 2 vases, I bought both for $8. It was dark when I bought them, they looked old because I thought they had those rust spots from old Asian porcelain. After it got light outside, I had a chance to inspect better. The whole vase has this mud looking stuff on it and looks like it was splattered on to look old or they did it for something else.
The vase is heavy for it's size, it's 13" high and weighs 8 lbs. 11 oz.
All the brown rusty looking spots wipe off easy, except for the bottom rim.
Does anyone have any information on Asian vases and their weight, or does anyone know anything about this one, the design etc. ?

    Thank You

I think a type of apocryphal Qianlong mark - seems to match up closely to the ones on gotheborg from later 20th century and/or 20th C Macau style pages. They look about that old to me.

Thanks aaron for clarifying this for me. Good thing it was only $8 for 2 pieces.

Billy, just the colors made me think 1990's Macau. There was a lot of similar stuff in import stores at that time.

A lot of people still like these, since the colors are so bold & cheerful!

Agree, it looks Macau. The colours are slightly paler than similar Canton pieces, which can be a bit too ott, and there are more thick black areas in the decoration.
    Two for $8, very nice.

Nope...I wonder how much it's worth with the design it has.
