This chair seems quite old, has gone through a lot of phases, reupholstered, modified, painted a couple of times... At one point in time it seems the feet used to have those little wheels my other chair(the strange one, another topic) has. In the past someone painted over the veneer, something the veneer did not agree with, it is getting loose at some spots.
    All these changes make it hard to date this thing.... 2017-02-01 16.47.43.jpg 2017-02-01 16.54.09.jpg 2017-02-01 16.48.10.jpg 2017-02-01 16.48.18.jpg 2017-02-01 16.49.57.jpg 2017-02-01 16.50.49.jpg 2017-02-01 16.52.53.jpg 2017-02-01 16.53.23.jpg 2017-02-01 16.53.13.jpg 2017-02-01 16.55.11.jpg

I think it is a lady's parlour chair from the late 1800s.
    Wait for other opinions.

Yep, lady's parlor chair, probably walnut, ca. 1875. Nice!

I would go with the 1875 date. Elements of renaissance revival style.
