I don't know about the maker's mark, and can't wrap my head around that subject right now, but I wondered if you know the legend of the beautiful maiden Kunigunde, her one true love and the origin of these bridal cups?
I just learned about it in the last couple of weeks, so it's fresh in my mind. Couldn't resist sharing the link.

    Great story, laura!

As for the mark in question, I am not so sure as the seller seems to be. He claims that mark is J swan K - but neither his nor this one are that mark.

Now, the Kurz firm was in business a very very long time, so it is possible that they eliminated the swan and made the mark bigger in later years. But neither silvercollection nor 925-1000 show this one.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I honestly don't know if this offers any constructive input, but tried 1st..inversing that mark, and then next to that, 2nd....just rotating it 180 degrees......I am absolutely NOT good identifying marks......I at first thought the rotated image might be a lion, but the more I looked at it....the more confused I got......

Agree with Bakers, neither look like any of the Kurz marks I've seen.
I've always liked these bridal cups, my mother had a Frisian one. This is the first time I've seen one with a bell.
