My MIL is cleaning out her house during COVID and was going to toss this floor lamp I have always admired. She and her husband received it as a wedding gift 60 years ago. Does anyone have any info to share? I would be most appreciative. Oh, and it still works too. lamp2.jpg lamp4.jpg lamp..jpg lamp6.jpg lamp5.jpg lamp3.jpg

Hi, Deidre! Does your new lamp have any marks? And that's not the original lampshade, is it? Typically, the shade will expose that lower arms which adds visual interest as in this example.

Could you clarify re wedding gift date? 1950s or 1960s? 70 years ago or 60?

I recall in the 1950s we called these Trilights. They functioned with just the candelabra, just the uplight, or all bulbs blazing, thus the term tri-light.
Without the candelabra fixture and just the uplight bowl, we called them torchieres. This can get confusing, as usually torchieres came with a bulb of 100, 200, and 300 watt functions. Making them in effect, also tri-lights.
