Nice, coulda used 2 today!!! DH is moving 2 pallet loads of pellets for a neighbor who can no longer lift them due to (now) permanent back injury. Ah well....some ya win...some ya lose!!!!

 

not really any of my business, but for how long have you been hoarding pallets???

 

@Mansons2005, I think they're from all the (heavy) equipment that Spring keeps buying.....

Very cool, but that's a lot of work for a little shot glass. Just drink out of the bottle

 

This guy used to pick up unwanted pallets between deliveries, rebuild them in his spare time and sell them occasionally for $5 a piece.

When he started to find more pallets and customers he started hiring local high school kids to work on them.

Then he built a shed so they could work on them in the winter.

Last time I called him it sounded like a combat zone in the background.

He's grown a little.

 

We're in process of reorganizing and tidying-up our leased warehouse so have been gathering up and giving away all unneeded pallets, especially lightweight and damaged ones. We also let our industrial park neighbor, an Indian food wholesaler, stack his excess pallets in our give-away area. These days 95% of the give-away pallets are his. I try and grab some newish, heavy-duty ones he puts out.

 

Awesome to follow through....but he got a LOT of comments about NOT using or bringing the wood inside the house......WHO KNOWS!!!!! BUT they LOOKED GREAT!!!!!

That pallet shed would make a heckuva chicken coop in warmer climates.

 

One gent showed up last week and took them all even the car-sized 500 lb. monster we've been offering for months! He emailed me his contact info and said he'd take all others I want gone, so that'll save me writing and updating CL ads!

 

WOOT! I wonder what he'll do with it all. I just hope he had a fork lift or something to get the moster back OFF of his truck at the other end.
