Please does anyone recognise the makers stamp?. It’s very modern (sorry) but frustrating me I can’t track down the identity. Are those antlers?, two seahorses?
Any ideas?. Nice piece of folded over glass but fairly basic. Don’t think it’s homemade with the stamp on an unusual clasp.
    Grateful for any help :)
    Thankyou

I'm thinking two Venetian gondola 'bow things'. So probably Venetian/Murano glass?

Well, I'd say Debora and Any Jewelry probably got as close as you can!!!! I even tried inverting to see if they showed anything different......nope!! That's pretty much exactly it, for my money!!! But what a DIFFERENT marking for a clasp!!

    How brilliant are you?!.
I could have looked until I was in my grave and not thought of that. I wonder if it’s a makers mark or a generic Italian glass thing. I’ll feed the girls their tea and do some more research now I’ve got a lead.

If it’s any consolation I thought that too but didn’t dare to put it in my list of suggestions :)

I've seen that. Botheration, it's one of the nicer Venetian glass companies. Modern.

A consideration for my old age. Where i’m going to build and sail a Gondola at the top of a hill in rural Cotswolds I have no idea.
Reminds me of a very wet holiday in Wales once when we in desperation visited the Coracle Museum. There lies an hour of our lives we won’t get back!

Maybe it helps if @Gianluca72 can tell us what those gondola things are called in Italian. That could also be the name of the brand.:)

They're just called gondolas! Or do you mean the mast thingie? Looks like it's ferro di prora or dolfin.

    https://venicegondola.com/en/parts-of-the-gondola-how-is-composed/

Pettine or ferro di prua, also called “fero da pròra” or “dolfin”, which has the purpose of protecting the bow from possible collisions and to balance the weight of the gondolier. Its weight varies from 10 kg up depending on the metal used. The shape of a ‘S’ should simulate the performance of the Grand Canal. Under the main blade has a comb made of 6 tines (prongs) that resemble the 6 districts in which Venice is divided. A kind of tooth that extends back toward the center of the gondola indicates the Giudecca and the “Doge’s hat” the headband over the top of the tooth comb, represents the Rialto Bridge. In the most recent gondolas, there are also 3 finishes, such as embroidery, called “leaves” and placed between the front and 6 bars that represent the 3 most important islands of the Venetian lagoon: Murano, Burano and Torcello.

PETTINE or FERRO DI PRUA :)

Yes, just the mast thingie of course.:joyful:
So maybe one of these is the name we are looking for. If they called the brand after the thingie, that is.
