Can anyone tell me if this is, indeed, a sofa table? And possibly who the manufacturer might be? I have searched high and low and the only identifying mark is a symbol on one of the drawers. orca-image-1506274479081.jpg_1506274479363.jpeg

    Hi Heather! Welcome!

I think a complete photo of the table is needed. Choose Full image.

    Thank you.......

    Hi Heather!

    Thank you for the photo.

It would be helpful to those using phones if you would edit the picture and choose FULL image.

Your table is not what I think of as a sofa table, but others will be along to tell you more.

    Hi -
The more info you give us the better we are to help you.
Size is important here. Height, width, length.

Ive heard these called sofa tables, but Ive never actually seen one used as such. Id think more of a serving piece in a dining room .

It is 28 inches long with 11 inch drop leaves, 24 inches from front to back and 38 inches tall. It has caster wheels with brass feet.

Heather, the mark looks to be one used by BAKER FURNITURE CO, starting in 1940. See the mark below:

According to the site linked below:
In the 1940s Baker adopted the logo of a crown (signifying tradition) and tulip (signifying Dutch craftsmanship) over a “B” which is also in use today.

I have used very, VERY similar as a sofa table and I have seen them used as library tables - I have never seen one in a dining room though.............

Heather, I personally would not call this a sofa table, although I guess it could work as such.

Some would call this a Pembroke table, or an occasional table. Its use can vary based on where you put it.

By the way, BAKER is a quite decent manufacturer, & even their vintage stuff tends to sell better than furniture from lesser makers.

I got it at an auction yesterday for $9.00. I don't know where I'm going to use it, I just thought it was pretty.

Heather, when you gave the length as 28" and then the two drop leaves as 11" (each), then that would make the the total width with the leaves up 50 inches. Am I right about that?

I'm just trying to picture the nice table and how I would place it and use it.;)

Oh I'm so sorry, I measured wrong or remembered it wrong when I posted it. I just measured it and it's 57 total.
