Last one today. I went to an estate sale today at a $6 million dollar home. This 80's chain belt was the only affordable thing I could find that was reasonably priced. I don't recognize the logo and haven't had any luck looking online. The closet was almost as large as my entire home. All high end designer names and all priced not to sell with very few exceptions. The place was beautiful. This thing is heavy, almost 2 pounds. Thank you. Mill P1310037ps1_edited-1ars.jpg P1310040ps1rs.jpg P1310044 (2)ps1a.jpg

The letter "J", was not even on my radar screen. Thank you!

I have sold several St. John pieces and this is the first time I've seen this logo. I sold this sweater last year and these were the 2 logos.
    Thank you again. Mill

In an odd coincidence, I found some St John pieces at an estate sale on Friday morning. It's generally sold to "ladies of a certain age" - generally the rich retiree crowd.

This woman was definitely rich. Everything in the closet was high end. They had lots of Chanel pieces at retail prices. Tomorrow is the last day so I may go back and see if they drop those down to half price.

Very pretty, reminds me of the good old days when we ladies wore that style belt all the time. I think it has a classic style for any generation.
Of course my belts were no where near as nice or as pricey.

The metal belts come around about once every 20 years, seems like. I found one in copper once, but never in a precious metal. Sterling belt buckles yes, entire belts no; that isn't to say they don't exist. The costume ones are probably safer - if the airline loses your luggage you don't cry.

I have a very nice St John suit and a silk shirt of theirs. Both bought with tags for peanuts in London charity shops, who'd never heard of the brand. Hah!

Their pieces sell for crazy money new.

I know - the silk shirt was a whole two dollars and the suit about twenty!

$20 for a St John suit? That's pretty close to stealing - congrats!
