Small trinket box age

    That looks like cast bronze. 19th C .

    Really didn't expect that good purchase at 12 bucks maybe. Any ideas of origin please and what's the best way to check material don't really want to change the finish it's not magnetic thanks again

    Poor casting and rough file marks,possibly a toy linked to the 1950's movie Treasure Island.

    Hardly: that's a 19th C hinge as is the fabric.
