I would imagine so. My people weren't wealthy, they were farmers. ;)

She's survived this long, and isn't even on her original body. I think she deserves a pretty French outfit.

Absolutely...........as I stated previously, the decision is yours. You make her as beautiful as you can for your pleasure.

You loved her before dressing, you can't help but love her even more with a pretty outfit.

Let us see her when she is dressed.........

What ever pleases you is the goal..............

The body of the doll is far too small for the head and shoulders and you may have trouble finding a nice fit for her. A pretty fine white cotton ankle length dress with both inset and edge trim would better suit her ... with a bonnet too. the dress could be trimmed with pink and cream silk rosetts made by gathering silk ribbon at the edge until it forms a frill and then gathering the whole thing together .. one can use any colour that you prefer .. roses on the bonnet too. l Like I said before she is on a too small body and it would probably be better to look for a full length dress. The flowers and bows can be attached at the waist and bonnet, shoulder or hem .. or any place one chooses. There ... in my head I have been designing it, Sorry if I bored anyone .. my mind designs things all the time, I will now rest my swollen eyes .... Joy. :):):)

Joy........you described and designed a dress that would be a much better fit for this doll, given that the head and body do not belong with one another. You are correct, finding a fitted outfit would be risky, especially if buying on line without the ability to return.

Hope your swollen eyes are back to normal today..............hugs.
