Cherub Carriage backstamp, any ideas?

    I believe that's the Alteste Porcelain factory of Thuringia.


    Shoot - now I'm going to have to look it up.

    Volkstedt also used a similar mark.

    Well... I'm not exactly wrong. Volkstedt is in Thuringia and it is the Aelteste Volkstedter Porzellanfabrik.

    I know this mark in particular because it is on a piece I have, and finding it in Rontgen was the reason I bought that book.

    Thank you, moreotherstuff - I only knew them as Volkstedt. I didn't know the full company name and I usually try and use the full name in my listings. Much appreciated!

    Then you'll want to check the spelling, because I probably got it wrong. I'm certain it will be on the Porcelain Marks & More site. Both Volkstedt and Thuringia are places.
