    Thanks in advance!!

They are brass, both with an Asian theme.
I don't know much about costume jewellery, but the bottom one could be Bohemian, maybe the other one too.
Others will know, this reply will push your thread back to the top, so hopefully they'll see it.

How do I push the thread up? I am so clueless ! The lady that gave them to me was a traveled woman on the golf circuit in the 70s ..she also gave me auth pearls , she said they met a jeweler in a hotel room while in Japan and purchased the pearls amongst other items - she gave me the appraisal with the pearls , and unfortunately I don't like pearls :(

Every time someone replies to something in a thread, it gets pushed up.
You can still get them appraised, if you think they are worth it.

Czech brass and glass is about the size of it. I look at them and want to make them into a pair of earrings; deliberately mismatched ones can be cool, and these don't look like they weigh a ton. The pearls are probably worth less than they used to be; Chinese freshwater pearls have killed the market for cultured ones. If they're natural pearls, i.e. grown by an oyster with no help at all from humans, that's a whole different ball game. So are Mikimotos.

Glad I was right about Bohemian (Czech), I am an ignoramus when it comes to costume.
If the pearls are 1970s Japanese, they could be Mikimoto.

It's not hard to spot once you've seen enough of it. The Czechs exported it all over the world, or it's been transported all over at least. You know the more esoteric Asian stuff; Czech jewelry was dirt common here. I think it was sold in Woolworth's, the dime store not the Aussie supermarket. :)

Well thank you for the info!! They are interesting anyway - the green one is inside a bubble and I am not a dragon fancier lol!! The pearls at the time , on the paperwork says she paid 1,400 dollars - I will pull it back out see if it says what kind of pearls ... to me a pearl is a pearl is a pearl HaHa! They all LOOK the same to me ...kind of like a golf ball lol!

Oh no ... there are pearls and there are pearls!

There are natural pearls, naturally grown in an oyster. There are cultured pearls, a seed placed in the oyster and natural material forms around it. There are costume pearls. There are fresh water pearls.

What did the appraiser tell you the pearls are? They had to give you more information than just a value!

Oh yes there is more on the paper , the pearls & paperwork are in my sons safe - she gave me the pearls with the value & appraisal from the 70s ...I have items like that with my son in his safe , as I married a "con artist" yep it happens in real life , not just on Tv , ( and I felt like the biggest FOOL)that took a TON of my mothers very valuable jewelry so by the time I realized it , I took what was left for safe keeping to my sons house - he is digging it out now...I just remember her telling me how the pearls came about & found it fascinating that people meet with jewelers in hotels!! I will let you know what exactly they are ...Now I am curious
