Those little ruby-flashed souvenirs were pretty common here in the late 19th-early 20th century, made by several American manufacturers...

I have one marked Sophie with a date kicking around somewhere, bought for no good reason other than I had a great-aunt Sophie who was about the right age to have gotten it as a gift. I pretended it was hers, and for all I know it might have been.

Mine haven't been seen since about 1973; some bottle dump diver may find them in about 100 years, but no one's holding out hope. They ran away from home with my common sense.

Here is a find I got recently. The package is in not so great shape, so I may just sell it without the package. These kind of items tend to sell well during the holidays so if you find similar, at a good price, you might want to bring it home.

 

MIB...or NOS.....ya gotta keep it with the package......!!!

 

I have to ponder this Komo. I do have to open it up to check everything inside and take more pics of the all the pieces so they are more visible. I think there is also a recipe booklet inside that I want to show. I sold one similar last year but it was in a cardboard box which was in better shape.

The plastic is so rigid or brittle on this one (and dirty), it could fall apart when I open it up.

I bought a jar in the Ill Will and the bracelet I was after has a broken clasp.(sigh) On the other paw, I found a Pan Tone color whatsit for a whole dollar. Can't beat that price. I also got a pair of bowls that feel like paper mache for another dollar. The flowers are hand painted.

Is that a Queen Mary candlestick in the background??? I sold my 4 ruby red ones, A fact that still causes me to rue about.
