    I've never really had a 3T (why, Textile Tensile Tester of course) on my want list, but weak reasons like that never seem to stop a Master Hoarder!

    Kool, well let's consider that a direct transfer is possible if we work something out. I may well have an errand to Marlborough, MA in Oct. and coming from VA I have to be on the Mass Pike for a while. Just let me know when u decide what to do with it.

    Sold it today for $300 to an antique dealer. Seemed like a fair price.

    No, surprise to me, but people do what they gotta do, a bird in the hand, etc. I've kinda gotten used to much more stuff I'd like to buy, getting away than I get, just got numb to it. I think the antique dealer knew what she was doing and got a very good deal, and the seller's happy to get a quick buck with no shipping issues. Maybe if seller gets something else I like and learns something about me, he'll put a nice big number on it that'll scare off the bottom feeders, and we'll do a deal.
