Union Porcelain Works of Greenpoint, N.Y., purchased by C.H.L. Smith and Thomas C. Smith before the Civil War. The S in the beak probably stood for Smith. Lehner's Ency. p. 479, says they changed over to making insulators around 1900. Since the design was patented in 188?, it was made between then and 1900.

The "S" in the beak??? I always thought that was a fish!!!! Hmmmmm! The one on Pinterest is/was on Ruby Lane and has apparently dropped to $325. Too bad!!! But at least you found a turquoise one, quirky!!!! Many Thanks!!!!!! And I didn't know that about Worthpoint, Janet....but alas, I also do not have a membership. Many thanks for looking also though!!! Well, at least it looks exactly like mine....THAT's something in itself to ME!!!!!!!

Worthpoint has several of these from a low of $152 in 2011 to a high of $1249 also in 2011.
    Others sold for $565 in 2017, $480 in 2013, $293 in 2013, $277 in 2009, $250 in 2017.

These were all 6 well with the same blue center as yours.

Hope this gives you some direction.

OH MY!!!! THANK YOU @jakatch, for all of that terrific information!!!!! Not sure how I'm going to sell it!! Among other things!! The only thing I'm sure about is that most family I have are not into collecting these types of things!!! Suppose I could always try on the "sell" Forum here.......Does anyone know, if I were to go the Etsy or RubyLane route, do I need to get a business license and state tax form etc??? I remember, Mom did, but she had an actual physical building and shop......
    Thanks again!!!!
