Featured Unknown silver bracelet

    Hello all, im from austria. First i have to say, sorry for my bad english.
    I found a silber bracelet in an old box. I think my grandmother bought it in holydays many years ago. Now im trying to figure out where it come from and how old it is. The bracelet is stamped but no one in our forum in austria hast an Idea. Maybe someone could help me with some informations, would be very nice, thank you :)

    Hi Aigi, I took the image of your marks and inverted them....tried to enhance them...but I'm not the one that's best at reading them, so others will be along to see if they can help on what the marks say....they're not perfect, but they are a bit more visible........

    Welcome Aigi.
    Your grandmother's unusual bracelet is from Libya, it is known as a tortoise bracelet. Seen from above the five spikes are like a tortoise's head and four feet.
    I can't read the marks, but there is bound to be an assay mark and a maker's mark among them. Libyan silver is often .900, so 90% silver, which is a very good fineness.

    It is possible your grandmother never went to Libya, Libyan jewellery is also found in antiques shops in Egypt sometimes.
    No wonder, they are pretty rare.

    Wow your crazy, so many answers thats very nice !! Thanks a lot for helping me. That makes me happy. :) Now i know where it comes from. She travelled a lot around the world and in every land she bought things like these or a vase statues and so on. Now i have many objects and i try to figure out where they come from and whats the Story behind .
