Flute leg table age and maker

    This has a Hollywood Regency look to me. If so, late '50s, early '60s?

    Hmmm i was told 1800s with the flute leg and natural crackled on it but not sure at all i was thinking flute leg french or italian sideboard but seems really old maybe im wrong

    Was that poor thing in a flood or something ?!? MOS is right reproduction circa 1960s. It doesnt even have dovetails,and very thin wood just confirms it.

    Ha not in a flood ? I dont know much about it just that its painted and it has flute legs any i see with these legs are old so its quite confusing

    The cracks are natural thats why i thought it must take a long time to get that natural crackled look ?

    Improper storage will allow cracks to form a lot sooner than you might think. By "improper" I mean exposure to extremes of temperature (from being in a space that is not climate-controlled), being in a very wet environment, stored in a garage, a barn, things like that. There are also finish treatments that intentionally create such a look (not necessarily the case here.)

    I know you can buy crackled paint but did buy this as over 100 years old just like to know . So how can i definately tell exact age by the legs or drawers?

    Table was in a sitting room in a house as far as i know not stored anywhere wet

    3 drawers to the front and 1 to the side hard to find any online anywhere to match ut but a few close ones i didnt pay much for just wondering how old but accept you both say 196ps appreciated

    Might be older but pics are not sufficient. The one pic of the back of the drawer looks to be straight sawn. Drawer bottom looks to be plywood but it could be a replacement. Really need better pics to evaluate tis.
